I have no idea what was the original Flash Gordon look, so I did another version for myself here. Tried to modernize the costume (didn't know Flash got a sword too!) This is also a tryout pinup.Related content

Nice take on the characters - a little modernization never hurt anyone...well, ok, that's not entirely true (for proof, see the live-action Transformers movie)...but, in this case, it looks good. Nice job.

The original Flash Gordon comic strip had him changing costumes every month or so (it was only printed on Sundays), usually because they got torn to shreds.

This version of Flash Gordon rocks the house, or the hizzy! Love the version of Prince Thun that you've got there, as well as Dale and Ming. Keep it up!

I haven't seen FG yet, but I'm going too. I think this is very good one, but I like original Flash more...I don't mean that I don't like the whole picture. I mean that the only person whom I don't like here is Flash. The others are cool! Uff...

This turned out really cool and dynamic. If you've not ever looked up the ORIGINAL Alex Raymond Art on Flash, I highly reccommend it... his illustrative style is amazing, and the look of the era is very evocotive (1930's sf/fantasy).
