Undertale's geno route is actually pretty damn pointless. It's like: "eh, let's murder all those people, 'cause why the hell not". To me, it actually feels like Toby Fox purposefully ripped OFF a certain game for that route lol...

Nah, I don't think so. In the first place, if the player plays undertale for the first time, how would he know that there would be difficult as fuck Sans battle?
Also, I believe Undertale is the kind of game for feelsy, emotional and sensitive people. I actually don't think it will affect not impressionable, pragmatic kind of people in any way.
Aaaaand, Undertale's Genocide route is a poor parody of OFF.

Well seriously tho', there are a ton of similarities.
In both games, you wipe out the entire populations for no apparrent reason, given the illusion that you're not the one in charge, kill an innocent kid in the end, and then destroy the world, while not wanting to do it.
