The coloring job on this is very nice, with the smoothness of her skin in contrast to the bright purple scales of her tail. I also find her hairstyle to be clever, being wrapped around the blossom branch. Her stern look does remind me of the cold gaze of a snake.
However, I do find her pose to be rather stiff. She just doesn't look like she would be very well balanced, especially with her tail going directly down as if she were standing on legs, but what she is honestly standing on is a spine. One of the wonderful things about snakes is the elegant curvatures you can achieve with them, and it's a little disappointing that it was not very much utilized in this piece. Moving her lower half into a forward curve would make her look significantly more relaxed.
