I was talking to one of the PAWS coordinators yesterday and she made the comment about how "We should start using this saying more - that adoption saves two lives. Most people don't think about it that way."So to start getting used to GIMP I figured I'd so something like this. :]

I have tears in my eyes just to wath the poor white cat in such conditions, i hope the photographer or someone else rescued him (i would've done it), i really wish i could rescue them all, i even get angry at myself and struggle a lot because i can't. Every effort i've done for cats during the last 14 yrs, seems so insignificant and never enough, but i won't give up, maybe someday i can finally open my own cats and dogs shelter.
Great job Arixco, blessed be for raising your voice and art for animals.

It really is! And high adoption rates this summer really made a difference for us being able to save more! 10 were adopted once at an adoption event and literally 2 hours after it was over we saved one that wouldn't have made it through the next day if we hadn't had room. (He's now totally healthy and finally looking for a home himself!)

More stray cats there are the less rats and mice there are...besides raccoons live in the wild and people say they should not be kept as pets, the same would be said for cats if raccoons were common pets and cats were not. Yes they have a hard life but so do all wild animals.
Im not an animal hater, I have 6 cats now, 2 of them where strays. I just think people getting all upset over a wild cat is silly. (wild dogs on the other hand are dangerous)

A STRAY cat belongs in someone's home. A FERAL cat does not have a problem with living outside and that is all they know. There is a difference. Just an FYI. I don't "get all upset" over feral cats living outside. But a stray? Yes. Obviously I do. Anyone who cares about cats do. Because a stray only becomes a stray when a human dumps them or abandons them.
