based it off the texture of smoke
so basically a few swirls/strokes with low opacity and added some glow effects with layer styles :'D

nahh, I used photoshop. don't know if I could even paint stuff like that with dA muro :'D
well what program do you use? anything specific u wanna know?

I don't know anything about pixlr but I used to draw with Gimp (but that's quiet a long time ago -might have improved the program since then)
anyway, it's always good to work with multiple layers (for example background, middle ground and foreground). flip the canvas horizontally some times so you can spot possible errors u haven't seen before aaaand don't forget to save :'D

You know, I'm incapable to offer critique here but I just wanted to let you know that what I like particularly about this is picture is a) the pretty (obviously) but also b) that it actually says something. There's a story behind it and that's just plain fascinating.
