Nice choice to go with this unusual angle here.  It forces the viewer to take in everything else that you've drawn in an attempt to get a bearings, which in turn provides a more complete visual context.  Everyone is so blissful and relaxed; even the roses are happy...  A splendid piece!

This is really adorable! Are the characters random or there's some story? I thought of Petson and Findus at first.

And gosh, I love the colours here and the combo of crosshatching and painterliness.

Thanks for liking this illustration The characters are random, so no particular story behind this scene. Thanks as well for the Petson and Findus reference, I didn't know anything about this story before reading the appropriate Wikipedia webpage
