I haven't seen a great many works like this, but then again maybe I'm just not looking into the right galleries.
This caught my eye among the newest submissions and I had to visit primarily because the lighting was really well done, showing off the depth and the subtle curvature.
Of course once I was able to see the full view there is a lot of really good detail invested in the figure so one can instantly appreciate the amount of time and effort you have invested here and it's overall an extremely well done piece of fan art.
If I were to have to find fault with anything it would be one small bit of detail which I'm seeing here and there on the figure and I'm not quite sure exactly what it is but here and there, like around the hips and lower torso and where the arm inserts into the shoulder assembly, I'm seeing what appears to be, for lack of a better word, a "double outline". It seems to be, for the most part, a bit of the underlying paper structure which is peeking around the edges or maybe it's the original outline which was followed for the cuts (I can't quite tell in some places) but it's very noticeable to me and prevents the figure from presenting a nice clean outline.
You don't mention the scale involved here so I'm left wondering about the overall dimensions and exactly how small (and difficult to cut out) those little bolts are that you have studding around his chest plate.
Leaving the eyes recessed was also a really good choice.
Overall a really well done project.

Thanks! It's approx 5.5" x 13.5" in size. Those little bolts were crazy small and I had the worst time with them because our cat kept eating them off the table before I could use them. Application was tricky and I had to use a toothpick to nudge them into place. As for construction, I did the entire body as a silhouette based off the character model sheet and built up on that with additional paper. That's most likely what you are seeing as the double line
Thank you for taking the time to write such an extensive review! It means a lot to me! I had originally planned to have him be lit on several layers with tiny LED lights but I was unable to get the materials to work with what I wanted to do, but Im very happy with the outcome

Just the right amount of shading in so many places, especially his face. The eyes are just phenomenal.
