A fascinating shot ! The whole landscape has a majestic grandeur, heightened still by the stormy skies, but one of the most striking features of your picture may well be the contrast between the rough textures of the rock faces, weather-beaten by the ages, and the luminous greens of the ever-young trees, like the promise of eternal life...
... which makes me realise I have probably just rediscovered the very same symbolism that was used long ago by Romantic and pre-Romantic painters (shame, I was rather proud of my analogy). Still, the masters of yore were certainly inspired by panoramas such as this one, whichΒ gives us a glorious insight into a time when forests covered our lands.
