hmm... interesting... You show potential, but to be a prick n all, theres a few things that comes straight to mind when I see this... The shadow on each of the planets is facing in the wrong direction relevant of the light source. The textures on the planets are ok, a little more refining of the planets themselves wouldn't hurt, but I think the most unappealing part of this image is planet placement and size (I cant really talk, my planets are a little 'off' also... haha) But yeah, I'd say that making planets fit the image isn't as easy as it sounds, althogh Alyn ([link] ) has released an indepth tutorial on spaceart which I found very usefull, (thanks alyn!) so I would advise checking it out. Otherwise its a positive step and hope you can make some more and improve each time. take it easy pal

Thankyou very much for your comments. I was really curious what an objective point of view would be. I agree with all of your thoughts, actually. I was so excited learning how to create the images, that I think I just kind of threw a bunch of stuff up there with no real order. I can see that now. It takes a bit of planning, doesn't it? I see that it looks like the white light in the upper right is the light source, but that wasn't how I intended it. But it does make everything look backwards, now that I look again. I've been working the last few days on tutorials about making 'crescent' planets. I'm definitely going to check out that link. Thanks. And some of the best fun so far is finding good images for planet surfaces. I'm trying out some new textures made from tree bark pictures I took, just for that purpose. Thankyou again.
