Description
My attempt to draw Verse sitting on a moonlit hill with fireflies.I guess I was trying to practice light and shadow here, and since he's a robot, I though it'd be fun to have a bunch of light sources bounce off of him. >>
Not really a whole lot more to be said here I guess

This is really cute and it has a lot of charm to it. Since you said you want advise to make it look better i also have a few little tips for you. If you make the firefly's look like the are glowing it would really help, you can do this by making a faint circle of the same colour around them.
If you have photoshop there is even a setting to help with this. If you draw an outline with the pen tool on a new layer, then colour it the same as the firefly you can then go to layer options and add an outer glow, if you pop this under the main layer they will look like they are glowing.

I tried to make them glow in SAI, because there's a special layer option for luminosity, but then I ended up changing the whole scene, including adding in the moon, so I guess the fireflies lost a lot of their luster =/
I didn't really notice until after I uploaded it here. x.x
I'll have to try to redo it later when I'm not so busy with school

Well, more lighting/shading would definitely make it look a little more interesting. As far as stylization goes, there's really not much more perfection to be had, at least in my eyes.

Yeah, I think I'll go back and add some more shadows to it. Maybe get rid of the mushrooms as well. I kind of feel like they take away from the overall scene a bit.
