This has a great Hayao Miyazaki feel to it, and I always feel like I can reach through the computer screen, knock on the door and some wonderfully eccentric person will answer.

Спасибо! Кисти с динамикой формы (shape dynamics) сама форма простая кружочек или шестигранник, в основном там работа нажатия пера, мягко начинает полупрозрачно и также мягко заканчивает, в середине мазка более плотный цвет, и диаметр.

No, for foreground, middle, background (road,sheds,clouds,field,sky)and for variants of color balance and effects like lights and reflections on surface.

but it still looks like you hadn't used any setting or tool for slurring or mixing colors while drawing/painting this...am i right by that?.....so, what tool have you used anyway, viewing it tells me it could have been a brush-tool

Draw strokes in form. Like traditional painting, but on comp and graphic tablet.
