Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well.

With this painting, I wanted to try out a new colour combination that had popped up into my mind. When I make these horse portraits I often like to stick to a triad colour palette... I usually choose a dark value, a medium value, and a light value colour - these colours often resemble that of the primaries (red, blue, yellow). It's really fun and exciting to break away from reality and experiment with unusual colours

Supplies: Turner Professional Watercolours on Canson Moulin du Roy 140lb cold-pressed paper.

Colours: Maya Blue, Ultramarine Violet, and Raw Sienna - plus some white gouache for the details.
