The geometry of this shot is outstanding. I really appreciate how you cropped this shot to make the focus solely be the structure of the door and how the paint, or lack of it, fills each space. I think that the exposure which you chose really works well here as it evens out all the tones and turns what could be a very busy image into a classical still life. It almost appears that it could be a painting with the manner in which you made it appear to be flat.

In terms of what could be improved upon, perhaps a slight sharpening of the details at the very top of the door might work. As this image is being displayed on the web, I know that there is a deterioration in quality of image. I'm sure that the original image is sharp enough. There might be a slight over-exposure in the top rectangle of the shot and the image might benefit from matching the almost yellowish tones in it to the white tones present in the lower spots of orange paint, but that is again a personal call.

Great job! a.deviantart.net/avatars/x/p/x… " alt=" " title="Xpose-it"/>

Very nicely composed! I like the almost, but not quite, symmetry. If it was perfectly symmetrical it would lose some of it's character so the bits of paint and carving in the lower right really help this exceptional. I also like the way the wood has taken on a greenish cast which contrasts nicely with the paint.
I also really like the way most of the colors are soft and desaturated, but there are also spots of darker red-orange. The fact that some of these spots are in the lower right and upper left helps to balance it.
Of course, the carving itself is also beautiful, but you have presented it very well.

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
i wish your signature was in a different color or at least didn't have that halo around it, though. it would look so much better if it fit into the composition

Very beautiful! Great photo. Did you enhance it at all or is this the actual colors of door? You captured the green in the wood, I love that!
