I bought an Art 101 Kids' 101-Piece Artist Kit from Walmart for $2.50 the other day on a whim. I remember as a kid, I always wanted those art sets as a kid and would get one almost every Christmas. I would open them up and look at all the pretty crayons, markers, pencils, and paints and think about the unlimited possibilities. Unfortunately, I never created the masterpieces I saw in my mind. It ends up that the supplies in these art kits are of poor quality, and I had yet to master hand eye coordination lol. So I bought this kit to revisit my childhood joy of opening a new art kit. But this time I told myself I had to make something pretty with it.

The only supplies I used that did not come out of this art kit was a ruler, a piece of watercolor paper, and a paintbrush (the paintbrush in the kit was terrible). The watercolors were weak, the crayons and pastels were mostly wax, the colored pencils were very pale, but the markers weren't that bad actually. I actually had a lot of fun with this challenge and I do like what came out of it. I'd say it was a well spent $2.50.
