Breathtakingly beautiful. You put such wonderful texture in your work, it's like I can feel the phantom of your art on my fingertips.
Utterly stunning.

Oh, did the colors come out different on paper than what you had in mind? My mom would love it. She likes flowers and butterfliesΒ the things I have little patience for. LOL

It wasn't as polished as I was hoping. My original plan for that piece was to do it in oil. One of my friends, and I have a facebook club we joined for colored pencil and some of those artists create pieces that look photographic. Also I would have liked to have gotten some transparency to the petals and done a better job with the raindrops. But there you go. It's finished and it's not bad. Just doesn't blow my mind like I envisioned. Actually, I did have trouble getting just the apricot color, right. I probably wouldn't have with oil paints. But using colored pencil and layering the pencils to get the color........
Our next show at PAPA Gallery goes up in 2 weeks and I need to get it framed for that. I don't have anything else new ready for the show and will have to see among the slim pickings what I have that's old. You can rehang pieces, but the must have been OUT of the gallery for 6 months. I'll have to look to see what I have that meets that criteria. I'm not going to worry about it. I have a couple really old pieces (80's) that I suppose I could frame and put in. We'll see. Going to watch NCIS and work on my France scrapbook!

Yep, down right discouraging. I had hoped to get some of that effect, that I was seeing, with my Gilded, but didn't make it. Maybe next time.
