Bad upload i know! Also this is a wip! read on untill you get bored of my rambling!Yay another Alexis Bledel picture, I'm becoming quite repetitive now! This is not finished but is pretty close! Its been taking a while, especially all the details on her dress! the picture was takin with a dieing camera, had no time to adjust the settings - so its very grainy and stuff. Well here's the link to what i was copying, please take a look![link]
I would very much like criticism! anything about shading, accuracy, choice of picture and whether or not the whole background is necessary...
Btw water way i edited it on photoshop, her eyes went way too dark and don't look right at all, basically the whole face will be improved for the finished one

The muscle definition in her legs is very well achieved, good use of shading

The overall and skin shading looks nice, just the cloth shading is a little less... The whole background is not necessary, just the chair is good enough because the table is somewhat disturbing the composition

This shading is lovely. You bring out the muscle definition beautifully in your shading...nearly to a 3-Dish quality. Lovely model. Lovely Work.

Nice job so far! Especially the hands. It's so difficult to draw hands. It does portray her pretty well, I could see the resemblance right away. Good luck finishing! I'm sure it'll be great.

That's cool... Didn't notice who it was until I clicked the link. The biggest thing that bothered me was the right part of her upper lip looks strange... But I know you said you were going to fix the face up...
One of the big reasons I like this though is the fact that the background isn't shaded and she is, makes her pop out of the picture more. Basically I like all the roughness to the background, but you're probably going to clean it up a lot... I like the contrast though, like if she was more refined and cleaner shaded against a rougher background... but yeah, I'm probably weird.

I love the shading, its great.
My only thing is that when you click on the picture the closeup is really grainy... I don't know if that's your scanner or paper or a combo of both, but it might be something to look out for.

Your skill with proportion and shading is excellent, something about it looks a bit .. I dunno, messy I guess. Not as refined as it could be. Face is a little bit squished though too around the jaw. But overall, quite well done.

this is really amazing. i really like the shadowing in the legs. traditional art is not my forte but my cousin is an artist so he tells me things to look out for. your work is really great.

The pose is indeed very complicated and you formed it really well. I like the small intricate details in her hair and dress, and the shading is EXCELLENT.
