In fact, the session was on for 30 min and there was 10 FXX. My primary objective was the glowing brakes. I did 400 pictures and only two had the exhaust flame. So you could say it was luck.
Some flames are longer like the Murcielago GTR, which last about 1 second but the FXX is really quick.
