Biz leaned back in his seat, sighing softly to himself as he flew away from the war torn planet in this hunk of junk he pieced together based off of plans his friend came up with. "A little rocky, but at least it didn't blow up," he said to himself. "I'll count that as a win." He was trying to stay positive, trying to not think about things, but failing. In space there was nothing to do but think, and the only thing he could think about was his friend.
His friend was just another Peridot, Perry he called him. Biz was your average Bismuth builder, helping build monuments for the diamonds and Perry was a kindergartener, regardless of their placements the two of them were still friends, and both served Pink Diamond. They always dreamed of exploring space together, free of home world's grip. They were on earth when the rebellion broke out, and they saw it as their chance to do so.
Using the chaos of the war, they escaped from their posts, but they didn't join up with the crystal gems. Instead they ran off on their own. They spent their time scavenging for parts to make their ship so they could leave earth and achieve their dream. Dodging both Crystal Gems and Home World alike they gathered what they needed from battlefields. During this time, Perry also taught Biz about technology and science. It was all going well, they were happy, and they were almost done. Almost free, until one day, they got caught up in a battle, between the Crystal Gems and Home World. It broke out fast while they were trying to get back, and before he knew it, Biz found his friend, shattered into pieces, by a crystal gem. Before he could even fully process what had happened, his body moved on it's own, gathering what few shards he could before fleeing the battle field.
His thoughts came to a stop, when he felt the wet drops hit his hand. He wiped his eyes, trying to push back the tears. He reached out and pulled his blue bubble out from the side of his seat, what's left of his friend, the few lime green shards he could gather up, floating inside. He held it out in front of him as he stared off into space. "We made it pal," He said quietly, a sad smile on his face.
He couldn't stop the tears anymore.

EDIT: Just fixed the story a bit, reworded somethings and made it sound better
OH MY GOD, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING.
This drawing was a major pain in the ass, Sai kept fucking up, my tablet stopped working, plus the fact that I still can't get space right after the ONE time I got it right on accident when I was dicking around. I really wanted to add more to the space, but I was just ready to be done with this. I'll redo it later when I get better, but for now I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out, if not totally satisfied. Anyway I plan on making more pics and stories with Biz here, and his friend Perry, hope you'll look forward to and enjoy them. Hopefully Sai won't be such a pain in the ass later.
