Description
"Please welcome the Wickedly talented, the one and only, Adele Dazeem!" Thanks John TravoltaHere's a crossover combination that has been done by many other artists already, but I just had to draw a version myself because it's so fun to think about these two bumping heads!
This is the first time I really sat down and drew these two characters. I've always wanted to draw Maleficent and although I wasn't into the Frozen movie, it's hard to deny how cool (pun intended) Elsa was.
As always, when I think I'm about to call the piece done after working on it for a while, I have to add the little last minute additions
The little particle effects at Elsa's feet and Maleficent's glowing staff was one of those additions. I didn't think the main characters popped out too much from all the background noise so I added the white snowflake and flames behind them. Also, just for the heck of it, I added a hidden Mickey and a hidden Nic Cage

I read the Kingdom Keepers book series to this day, and in that, every Disney character is real. Maleficent is in charge of the Overtaker group of villains and Elsa appears in the last book to help counter their attacks. So a battle like this seems plausible.

I have to admit, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Maleficent...! Even when I was a little kid & saw "Sleeping Beauty" for the first time, I must've been the only kid on the face of the earth who wasn't scared of her! Instead, I was like, "Ohhhhh...I think I'm in love...!" (I know, I know; I'm weird...)

Done by many other artsits? Oh a tad overstatement, I think we should form our own deviant group the elsa vs maleficent members, or something to that effect.
I like your version style wise, has a flashy/action dynamic, Maleficent looking so unapologetic to what's she done to the point she looks to be trolling is quite funny. (Now to find Mickey)
Why people you and me draw these characters? I think it's partly down that they are the alphas of their respective movies. Whilst Anna is the main heroine and princess Auroa and is the main focus with Philip taking over at the second half, boith Maleficent and Elsa are respectively complex and have powerful elements, that are the problem or even the resolution of the story. They are the obstacles are characters face and the ones that give them purpose. The two stand out to me however because they are such breakout characters from their era, even for the story their in.
