Description I drew this picture 2 years ago in seventh grade. My sketchbook had gone missing for quite a while and I just happened to find it yesterday so I worked on touching up the shading and the hair. Tell me what you think ^_^ I used a picture reference from one of my girly magazines (CosmoGirl!) so some people may recognize the picture. Over all I'm pretty happy with this picture.. except for the hair. I'm not too happy with how that came out.. isn't very good at drawing people's hair o.O oh well! Hope you all like ^^

Awww thank you! That's really sweet. Sadly, no haha I'm not a professional artist now XP. I'm still in highschool and mentally prepping myself for college apps next year!

I love the shading. I just got done with seventh and I cant draw too good.
every time I look at pics on here a lot of people's are better than me!

Im in like hyper drive on the practicing, its kind of funny

aww thanks so much! yeah when i first join DA i was freaking amazed by all the great artists here (still am) and i don't think i'm quite up to par with any of them... but eh i guess it all has to do with born talent, passion, practice and all that crap. anyway thanks again for the comment ^_^ glad you liked it!

WOW! That is very very good. I always have trouble with kissing. The shading is amazing, and its so perfect...that's so cool ^^ Great job *wishes she could do that* XD

haha i'm sure you could draw that! it just takes... a loonggggg time and lots of practice hah >< twas quite frustrating trying to get it to look like teh photograph. thank you so much!!

i'm jealous of your artistic talent. you are an incredible artist. not to be critical but the hoop is kinda wierd and the girl's eye is a bit weird but other than that its incredible

yea i know lol the hoop is odd its not really a circle but ehh and the eye je sais... its a little too much at a forward angle than the rest of her face but thank you ^_^

wow.... i mean, really, this is incredible!!!!! (as always..lol) i love the emotion on their faces and this fits so well with my "lovey-dovey" mood that i am defintely going to +fav it!!!!! i love the earring too and how it's so unpredictable in the pic. yea, the hair on the girl would be the only thing that i would tell you looks a little unfinished. but you are doing such amazing work even just as a freshman!! and considering this was in 7th.... nice work em!!

thanksssssssssss haha i was thinking that it went so well with the pictures that you submitted ^_^ sigh yes hair stupid hair ! argh lol i honestly don't know how some people can get the hair to look so realistic in a traditional art drawing its insane i tell ya! ^^

yea, it really does go well!!! yea.. i know what you mean about the hair because i have a painting that i'm working on of a little boy and he has an afro and it's sooooo difficult to get the curls and poofy-ness of the hair to show through.... sigh.. well, we'll see how that turns out. in the meantime, this was a pretty good attempt and by no means a failure. good work.
