Description Ohh my goosh this took all day and night to finish. But I finally did it! I finally finished the Stage 4 Midboss of EoSD, Koakuma in attempted ZUN style. This time in a larger scale to fit more detail in. (next time the size will be smaller so the resolution change won't look so compact |"D ) There are a few noticeable mistakes, but I'm still pretty pleased with how this came out. My best ZUN mimic yet.

P.S. I'll probably redo Daiyousei's ZUN style pic now that I have a proper sprite of her from the game.


EDIT: Decided to make her dress black.

For a second I really did think ZUN drew some depiction of Koakuma for the fans of Touhou and this was a picture of it....really nice! I love it!

What tools did you use for the shading?
And what sized lineart and stuff.

I got a (horrible ;_; )screenshot from the game on a YouTube vid. When I selected the colors of the dress, it appeared brown.

I used the blur tool on the edges of the shading, and 0.7 with 25% minimum size for the lineart.

Aaah, this is much better! The only thing that bugs me is the face looks very blobby... But other than that, you've very much got the TH11-13 style down!

ZUNs faces are a biiit rounder than that. And a bit of the eye seems cut off.

I see. Her eyes were a little hard to work with. :"D Even on separate layers.

Maybe next time I draw in this style it will look better than this attempt. XP
