Description
A painting of a friend's friend. Who had seen my former painting "Natalie Portman". Apparently he has tourettes but is well humored about it. I don't have much knowledge of it. But he wanted a portrait done of him and the friend mentioned I should keep that in mind. I think I did an o.k. job. Being humorous but trying to create a metaphorical image.

I really like the feeling of this. Very metaphorical too... I can really see what the intent of this is and there is even emotion in it as well. Another great piece. You're just brilliant. Do you do commissions? I'm curious because if I am ever able to afford it, I'd really like to see what we might be able to come up with. In fact, you gave me this idea suddenly, which is very strange because I'm rarely ever able to be creative anymore or imagine such awesome things, but I just thought.... an octopus with borderline personality disorder and a top hat. I don't know how one would go about creating something like that, but it's just something I thought of, as it combines me and the animal I love most and I feel describes me. Anyways, This is really fantastic, much better than "ok", for sure.

That's a good idea. Can easily picture something for it. I do commissions all the time. Let me know if you'd ever like to pursue that or another idea.

For sure. As soon as I can manage to find the right amount of extra money, I'd love to do that. I think it would be really awesome. It might be depressing though, lol, I'm just warning ya! Still, I think you would be able to make something really great out of it and it would just be wonderful. Honestly, it's the first time I've actually felt that way about someones art before. Sure, I have a couple favorite artists, people I would love to own work of, but I actually never wanted them to paint anything specific for me (they're pretty much very surreal artists too, Mark Ryden, for instance.). Your work not only inspires me but I find myself wanting a piece of it so badly to have in my living space, not only to display your great work, but also to display something meaningful. You capture something I can't explain in your paintings, and that is why I think I like them so much. It's like emotions there are no words for. Much like music.... I believe art and music to be the way we communicate with our hearts and convey our deepest and most inexplicable emotions. Anyways, sorry I don't mean to be all silly about it, I just wanted you to know I really appreciate it and I will be looking into it as soon as I can.

sounds fantastic, I appreciate you delving into that. I usually just get very straight forward feedback so I like reading this. It's fine if it's depressing, I can be a moody fella myself and that fuels art for me a lot of the time.
