Really reminds me of a cross between him and Voldo of the Soul Calibur series.  If Cobra ever captured him, turned him, and mutated him, this is exactly what he would look like.

Yeah, that was the Vow of Silence. Though there are some versions of Snake Eyes that prevent him from talking, such as a his vocal cords being slit and such.

i really like the dark feeling to this. Great coloring and pose. I think the left hand looks like a right hand... ie the thumb position, maybe it's just me. Lovely otherwise
