tapped me to finish the colouring on the first issue of Savior for (which was bloody nice of him!), so here's a few pages that I've done so far. I'm not sure I've done such a great job of shadowing Simon's work, but I'm still pretty pleased with how the pages are looking so far. I'll post some more details once the book's finished. I'm looking forward to just doing my own thing for issue 2.I just did the colours - the actual artwork was done by Sebastian Cardoso and Greg Smallwood (tho I'm not sure yet who did what). Savior belongs to (and written by) David LeVack.
On this one, I also have to say that I think this is probably the best page I've coloured yet, for anything. I'm really quite pleased how this turned out.

Aw, thanks man. Just one of those lucky ones where everthing came together quite easily, and quickly too. I think this was about 10 hours, inks to finished - my fastest yet!

No no, not inks too - man, I suck at inking! And these inks are really quite nice too. I just meant working from opening the inks to a finished page. Should have said flats to finish really, but ... well, I should have thought it through better perhaps. ^_^
I think watching my process could be quite entertaining for another colourist, cuz I'm so damn random, and keep changing stuff all the damn time! ^_^ I'll maybe give it a try someday, tho.

Yep, sucking at inking is a familiar feeling
I'm gonna post a series of livestream tutorials soon, stuff like setting up your command actions for lineart and flatting... okay, maybe not flatting! Be cool if we could get you to have a quick paint over in the same piece, step by step like until its finished! I was pretty random, and prob still am a bit, but the cut and brush speed one has me settled unless its a different lineart style

That could be a cool wee experiment, actually - see what we each come up with using the same pic. Hey, we could even pinch some flats from flats-for-coloring - that'd save us both the hassle of flatting, and make for an even more interesting exploration of just how different our techiques are. Of course, I'd have to figure out the livestream thing first! ^_^
