So, who's she fighting for, and when?

Β She was drawn to be non-specific so that any Battletech fan could enjoy, regardless of affiliation.Β I really need to do a new version of this, and get around to other mechs-with-girls pics.

I think the Axeman series was mainly Fedcom or FedSuns.

Heh. That mech's a lot cooler than most of Battletech's machines.

Very nice. Awesome picture. I usually pilot the Hunchback but I would not hesitate to use that mech, the axe is a nice touch. The girl looks good to, nice uniform lol. I'm trying to design some mechs but not having any luck yet. ;-;

Okay okay, you have drawn an Axman. Can you draw a Timber Wolf or a Thor? Or perhaps my favorite Solaris VII Mech the Volkh.

Um...her face is too angled away from her neck...like it's sitting on top of it. Also, the thumn on her hand is too far out, and the breasts are too angular, and the thighs are too long and trunklike.

I had the Axman toy when I was younger(Now all the parts are missing)
I always liked these style of Mech, it seems more...idk, strong as opposed to the sleek fast style that I see in most of the Gundam series.

You can paint the mech any color you like.
Though I'd recommend a flat black, considering it's a warmachine and all.

Sure I like basic black myself. Does it come with a laser sword??

Sadly no, but it comes with a BIG double-headed axe! I had to keep it somewhat like the original Battletech mecha.
Later I'll post some of my other (and original) mecha, some of those have beam swords.

Despite the skimpy size of the outfit, it took awhile to draw and color.
I was trying to stick to Battletech's idea of a Mechwarrior's outfit having these cooling tubes all over it. I'm happy with the result.
The typical Mechwarrior neural helmet is a beastly thing, so I went for something new.

Artraccoon In reply to KodyYoung [2006-12-17 05:27:29 +0000 UTC]
The helmet was sort of a compromise...the Battletech neural helmet is big, bulky, and very ugly. It also has a very small face plate, something that isn't good in combat.
I often prefer to draw helmets that are like astronaut helmets, or like USAF pilot helms, or my fave...chopper pilot helms.
One of the Axis Army mech pilot helms is a blend of U.S. chopper pilot and Soviet-era padded tanker's helmet. I've got a few pics that I need to finish showing a character wearing one of those.

In MechWarrior 4's live action scenes, such as the intro, they appear to use Army helicopter helmets...
