I've been wanting to do this..........Leafeon and Espeon are my two favorite Eeveelutions!!!!!! Leafeon is my first, Espeon is my second. I love them both though. Mine are kick butt though on my game!

Pretty much the description says the same for me. Leafeon is my favorite pokemon overall though not just out of eevee evolutions. In my latest game sadly I have not been using him do to there being no way to naturally get him in the game.
Been playing heart gold and to get him I have to trade and up until now I have been trying to play the game without trading so i have been using Espeon my second favorite as a main instead

You should. Well...., you should actually breed them so you have a billion Eevees and you can get every Eeveelution. Me and my hubby did that. We were trading and breeding all over the place! hahaha! But yes.....definitely Leafeon and Espeon!!!!!

I could be wrong but doesn't putting them in the day care make the happiness for them go down? And doesn't the happiness effect stat gains? I could be wrong just on the safe side I never put one of my main pokemon into a daycare. Also I am curious whether or not Espeon and Leafeon even can breed with each other since they are not the same types.

No, you put two Eevees in a day care to get the Eevees that you will work with to get the Eeveelutions. You don't change them until they have reached happiness. Since they are new eggs when they come out of the daycare, their happiness is uneffected when they hatch. I usually don't change the original Eevees.
