Do you have WindowsStyleBuilder? You will need it, and also Restorator or your favorite Resource Hacker.
The PDF contained in the pack shows some code you need to add to shellstyle.dll > UIFILE > 1.txt, in which belongs the image reference.
By default, the reference was composed of a class, a part and a state of the theme. You need WindowsStyleBuilder to insert your images in the theme and know the class part and state you need to reference.

Hi! I did not know if you are still interested in this, but maybe that the previewshinelayer is covering the background in the mentioned special folders.

What do you do with this. Where does it go. How do you use it. Compatible with SP1? These questions have been asked and you haven't answered them.

Hi. I know that was a long time since your comment. But lets answer your questions.
This is a pack with DirectUI xml's extracted from system files and modified. You need to insert this files into your system files, then replace system files. The pack contains a guide. I decided to upload this XML's instead of modified system files because compatibility troubles through languages and system file verssions, so how you will change your own system files, this will be compatible.

So, I find the reason why the design didn't work ^^

But now I've got a question: How did you move the information part to the top?
At my pc it's at the bottom, and I don't like this really much...

thx^^

Hi. I know that was a long time since your comment, so sorry. You can change that color, editing DirectUI XML's inside shellstyle.dll or through AVE's Vista Style Builder

Hi and Thank You for sharing your great work!!!

I am having a problem when I try to add the image...Link

Everything works great with your test theme but I just can't get my theme to save the picture.

Do you have any suggestions??

Thank You and Best Regards...

Some times it occurs when you made and saved some changes on the theme and then you try to do other changes.
Try to do all the changes in one time, or do some changes, save, close, reopen and then do the other changes.

i've tested the image in ControlPanel, but over the image (with fitting sizingmargings) lays the same image as truesize.. [link]

maybe you know what to do?

Sorry the long time out of DA.
Can you send me a screen of WSB

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

sunBeam2000 In reply to Artur89SD [2010-09-06 16:02:21 +0000 UTC]

the link is already in my comment..

i solved it with another sizinmargins, so the sizeable picture under the fixed one only stretches the lowest line out of the image (198,2,349,0)

but the symbol in pane has a fixed place then..

you can download (almost) Final-theme here [link]

btw, the Folderband-shinelayer doesn't still work, tested everything..
it's not in the multicolor folderband, but in the other one, where i don't need it (save-dialog etc.)
but it's not that important..

Hi Artur! I have made an update and all shellpanes controlled by shell32.dll go to the buttom The shell32.dll version is now 6.1.7600.16644 so my question is if can I use the shell32 mod files with shell32.dll version 6.1.7600.16644 because the last update you did was for shell32.dll version 6.1.7600.16532

Thanks for replying. So you have shell32.dll version 6.1.7600.16644 working without any problems with Artur's shell32 mod files

i've installed your shell32-files and modified my longhorn evolution theme, works fine..

the only thing i want to use addionally is the shinelayer in Folderband, but i don't get it to work.

i've tried several commands in shellstyle.txt like:

the background is still without Shinelayer.

When i try:

the Shinelayer appears but without Background..

Do you have an idea??
