Very nice, I like the slight over exaggeration of the characters size and pose. If you don't mind me asking, how did you do the blood splat over his hand?

It's actually a pretty simple technique. The blood looks to be just a flat, red shape on a seperate layer, with the layer's mode set to "multiply". Doing that basically makes the layer transparent, without making the details of the layer below it faded or harder to see.
