Hoho, well, I think it's kind of natural XD And since in most stories, that happens for real, that two arch-rivalls, male and female, fall in love at the end, I don't blame people who think that :'D
But Africa and Chui really, and I mean RALLY hate each other XD
Hoho, truly thanks so much^^

Γ§a aide beaucoup !

VoilΓ ! ^^

Oh my god I wish I had your talent! XD
Vision: This is phenomenal! The shading you have done on this is just fantastic ARVEN! I cannot even tell you how amazing the lighting on the muzzles look on Africa and Chui, the way the light fades out the lines of the faces and how it shines off their pelts as they stand face-to-face with each other! The way you colored the eyes is wonderful! The mix between the green and gold in Africa's eyes blend so well and make a wonderful combination! And Chui's eyes, although look one solid color in a thumbnail, you showed a variety of shades of gold and orange in the eye. I just love your shading technique and the anatomy is wondrous! And although they are in the usual "African Savannah" background, it has a HUGE impact on the rest of the picture! The shadow of the tree that extends to the paws (hopefully XD) of the two rivals just adds to the great vision of the cover piece! ^^
Originality: This is the only thing that would change in my eyes. As seen, I did not give it a full five stars, but for good reason. In very many movie covers and book covers you see the main protagonist and the main antagonist facing of real close together in the cover. Although the characters are original, the positions are not.
Technique: You know your technique is great! Your drawings, whether a comic page, a random picture, or a commission/gift/etc for a friend, everyone can always tell what you have drawn. Your "style" of drawing is unique in your own way and is what helps others see what you have done. Your technique in drawings is always flawless and get down to the point in every detail to express what the picture means without (or close to) any explanation! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h⦠" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>
Impact: Overall this may have started out a practice for shading, has turned into a great piece that, in my own opinion, would make a fantastic official cover for the story, and maybe you should have a vote? If you make another picture for the cover and upload it, you could have people vote upon the original(first) Africa cover, this cover, and the one you'd make. But the impact in this picture is beautiful, the scene is fantastic, and the meaning is gorgeous!
Now after typing this for 27 minutes, my hands are tired XDD I can't wait for the first pages to come! ^^

It over all is very impressive. The emotion of the conflict between these two characters is obvious and strong. I also love how you made Chui's design sharp and anglely(Is that even a WORD?)
The highlights and detail is very impressive, since I know how hard it is to color with such perfect value. In fact, there are very few places I could even tell that you used color pencil.
One thing I did notice was the rays coming from the tree, maybe you should put a few more rays just to make it look more natural, I'm not really sure, it just doesn't look completely natural. another place you could make look a little better would be the cheeks of both characters and the neck of Africa, if you look closely it looks a little sloppy, but from a distance it looks fine.
One thing you could do to make the colors blend even smoother is to run over the drawing with white. This works fine but one problem you may find would be either you would need to make the characters darker or completely change the color design. Another thing you could do is, like smudging, you could just rub the drawing with your finger. These are just sugestions, but I hope this helps. I love Chakra, and I can't wait to see this series!

You're more than welcome! I was really inspired by your comics, and soon I will be starting my own. It was very intresting, writing that critique, since I'm both far younger, and less expirienced than you. The tips I gave you were what I've learned over my expiriences, so, I really love Chakras, and I can't wait to see what happens next Saturday!!

I do like that it is not a cheesy love story, Africa has come so far and made rivals on her way, I can't wait until you finish it!Β
