Africa goes on!
For this page, I wanted two different interpretations by two characters who are observing the same thing.
Paa is literally taking a glimpse at Africa as he falls, first staring into her eye, then at her mouth, then paw, before falling, and realizing with horror that his blood is all over the place.
But Africa is also staring about the blood on her face, mouth and paw, and she's quickly realizing that she went against the rules of the contest.
I'm not satisfied at all with how this page was structured 
Also, have I ever mentioned how much I hate drawing grass? Well, now you know it XD
Oh well, enjoy the page XD

I LOVE THIS PAGE! It had my heart pounding and my tears flowing. After i finished the page i was left really needing more. Its a thrilling story and the art enhances the experience tenfold. i kept telling my self not to cry and wondering what will happen next. I love you originality and i wish i could come up with cool concepts like you do. you inspire me and invigarate me to make do great. Never done a critique before, might as well give it a shot...
This page of the comic has got to be a fave of mine, it's really moving.
Poor Paa though, I knew horns were a part of the skull for some mammals, but it looks even more painful than I imagined. Having a chunk of your skull ripped out must hurt a lot...
Alright, on to the critique...

I had to dock a star off for originality, the whole "victim looking at the features of their enemy as they fall fall dramatically" thing is a bit cliche, but I love those kind of things. ^^
The technique is nice, even now I'm blown away how you can bring such life to a peice of paper, with just traditional art supplies. Like I said before, the anatomy is gorgeous, and I gotta mention that (you probrobly knew this already but oh well) Jaguars are big tree climbers. It's not uncommon for them to actually drag prey up trees to make it harder for it to get away or fight back, so I thought the fact that this was how Africa removed Paa's horn was creative. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
Another thing I stated earlier was how it impacted me. The overall image is very moving, very dramatic, and very stunning. I know I felt my heart sunk as Paa hit the ground, and it's very impacting when an art peice makes the artist sympathize with the characters, even if Paa isn't the protagonist. You could still tell that it wouldn't end well with Africa too.

And then re-reading the beginning chapters Paa could've potentially become Africa's friend... when did everything went wrong? Gosh I'm gonna ramble again.

that attack didn't directly kill paa but i bet it will indirectly kill him/her cause of infection or maybe a broken bone causing him/her to get caught by another preadator for breakfast/lunch/dinner
