Something I did in about 3-5 hours total. Trying to limber up the noggin and get them creative juices flowin' for other stuff......i need to review the face again... it looks weird to me now...

the idea seems pretty cool. but the face... yeah. needs a lot more detail. add more wrinkles, specially the ones that form around the nose and mouth. I think that alone would help the face out a lot. and put a tiny highlight on the eye so he seems more alive. very tiny. keep it up! he looks like father time.
