Description Inspired by one of my Shadowrun figurines I got a few years back. The figures (I have 5) are for a game much like Heroclix except in the Shadowrun universe and on a much larger scale. Each figure stands approx. 8 inches tall (though the Orc mage is bigger than the others) on a base that shows all the necessary details about them.

I've never played the actual game but I was a big fan of Shadowrun in my younger days when I used to play the PnP game.

This though, is Katsura Maeda, waiting for the signal that everything is GO.

As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by.

very nice. I wish an outfit like this existed for Vicky 4.. Well, one that could handle my characters' *ahem* 'outrageous' forms, anyway.

I know what you mean. Uzilite did some great work for V3. I think you could probably run it through something like Cross Dresser to convert it to V4 but I don't know how good the conversion would be.

I think the 3D model you have created is probably more functional then the figurine.

Thank you. I have a feeling that she'll be a recurring character like a few others of mine.

ahh Shadowrun, good times. a wonderful "gameworld" milieu. unfortunately for the GM it sometimes became bogged down in "roll-playing".

very nicely rendered. is that a M3/4 conversion outfit? reason i ask is you rarely see vicky in such sensible attire...

Yup, SR was a lot of fun to play.

No, the outfit is actually a combination of items designed for V3, all from Utilize.

uzilite, that would explain it, the modelling is a cut above the usual fare. it's a shame they stopped producing content, wonder if they burned out? the "customer-base" can be so ungrateful and unforgiving at times, no?

Yeah, it is a shame, they did some great work for M3/V3 and I have always wondered what they could have come up with for M4/V4.

And you are right - the "customer base" can be very unforgiving at times, not sure sure about being ungrateful as I think most of them are, it just doesn't get said very often.

it is interesting. given the razor-thin profit margins, convoluted development time for products to be "poserized" and the acquisitive-minded customer base it is a wonder many more merchants don't tear out their hair and walk away out of frustration.

we shall see if daz' implementation of dynamic cloth will fundamentally change the content business as it currently stands.

I agree with you mate. I picked up a copy of Hexagon a while back and while I've had a "tinker" with it, it is so far beyond what I understand that I haven't even bothered trying to make anything worthwhile, so add the learning curve to all that as well. But, business is business and I'm sure that there are people out there who are making a living doing this. Hell, there are enough people out there buying stuff, so someone has to be winning in all this. lol

Yeah, it will be interesting, I've only just downloaded the demo of the dynamic cloth plugin and haven't played with it yet. I know that it is totally different to the Poser version so dynamic items for one won't cross over to the other, but some of the results I've seen look damn good.
