Description This looks good on my screen but I wonder how it looks to others. Does it need to be lighter or have more contrast perhaps? I know the lighting direction is wrong if the moon were the primary source, the were would be a silhouette then... so I assume a secondary source, but my primary concern is the strength of the lighting in terms of image visibility.

If curious, it's a Poser 7 render and the figure is SanctumArt's Horde phenotype, with some custom morphing.

Thanks! It's funny how blurring the background just a tiny bit added so much depth to it...

Its just unbelievable how awesome details you add.
(like the vains and inside of the ear)

This is one of Michael Rakk's models, so I really didn't add much in the way of detail, they're awesome just as they are. But the inside of the ear is a bit flat for my taste, so I did add some shading and highlight to give it more depth.

Excellent stuff, and the light looks just fine to me. Neat figure as well, I like the way you've morphed him too. Hey, if you felt like exporting and sharing the morphs...

Ascynd In reply to strangeloup [2011-07-30 03:25:54 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I need to learn how to do that...

Oh, I finally got around to re-working the red wolf that's sitting in my scrapbook using the same pose and morphs... I like it better than without the morphs but I'll leave it up to others to decide which one they like better... not everyone has the same tastes.

Yeah probably... but this was just a quickie render. If I ever get around to re-doing the fire version it will probably be more detailed.

Thanks! Michael Rakk made the model, he does amazingly detailed work! I just altered the face a bit. The original shape is a bit ape-ish. Which is cool, but I wanted something more lupine for this.

Ooh, nice work! These beasties are quite hard to render well, but you did a great job. The lighting's fine - it really brought out the colour variations in the texture.

Ascynd In reply to Nytcrawler [2010-05-28 05:52:53 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! It's really mostly just a re-color and face morph on the old 'burning rage' one I did earlier... I aught to go back and re-do that one with the more wolflike face too.

As for the comments... ehh half of them are my own, lol!

Ascynd In reply to Zaluke [2010-05-13 00:03:50 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I did my best to use lighting to bring out the textures and touch up here and there with post work but to be honest, Michael Rak's models hardly ever need any work, they're brilliantly detailed as it is. Primarily what I did with this other than presentation is to reshape the head a bit to look more wolf-like. The original look was a bit more between wolf and ape... very nice, but I needed a more unmistakeably lupine shifter. Glad you like it, I was concerned the detail would be lost in the dark lighting, but maybe it's just my old monitor that needs to be tuned up a bit.
