Although this is nicely done, this is too tame for Pinkie, to me.
I mean, where's her really big stupid mane and hair?
If she was to go to a masquerade ball, I'd imagine her wearing her Grand Galloping Gala dress from the season 1 finale with a traditional ball mask.
Oh! And I can just imagine her singing THIS on stage(if they had one set up for the in house band), and bringing the house down, in the process: [link]

Rarity fought with her as you put it 'really big stupid mane' to get it the way it is here. I think Pinkie would get more into to the spirit of it, since it's her party, and try to at least make herself semi-unrecognizable. Make it any crazier than it is, there's no pony it could be but Pinkie Pie. I'm not keen on the idea of the gala dress being reused.
