Thoughts about the Character:

I thought Thalia would have been underestimated for most of her life, her parents were trying to give birth to a son but were only able to do so after Thalia was born, that was really unfortunate because where they lived had a law that low ranked and poor people were only able to have one child, Thalia was already a bit older and felt very scared about being left behind by her parents, she knew how much they wanted a boy since she was a baby, she had done a lot for them in hopes they would love her for who she is but it was all in vain, her determination broke apart when guards came to her house to get her brother and her father offered her instead.
Thalia was sent, together with other children to a coliseum-like arena, of course they didn't put the children to fight, it would not entertain no one a little person crying and waiting for their death, all of them had an age deadline, once they reach that age it would be unavoidable their participation in the games, Thalia stater to feel fear again but as she looked around her, there were a lot of other kids smaller than her (she was actually the oldest) and of course way more scared and so her determination to prove herself again arouse from her heart, she had less time than the other children but she felt relieved she would be the first of the bunch to play the games, Thalia was determinate to do more than only survive, she would teach the other kids how they could do it as well, the world wanted they dead simply because they were born, but it wasn't their choice to be born and so it's unfair for them to die simply because the law says so.
I believe Thalia would have trained a lot and watched the games in the arena, she trained by herself and cared for the children, and her new family of brothers and sisters gave her strength, they gave Thalia a purpose and the greatest thing she never felt, acceptance and love from her family. After her debut in the games, everyone was impressed at the woman who held so hard unto her life and all her determination to win was so contagious that the public cheered for her to win instead of waiting for her to die, for the children that went after her, Thalia teach them everything she could, and fortunately, causalities were the bare minimum.
I thought Thalia would do so great training the other children and giving them order, that eventually she and her "little army" of unloosing fighters would be kind of promoted to their own squadron with Thalia as their leader.
