Description
Medusa was a Gorgon, one of three sisters and daughters of ancient, pre-titan gods, Phorcys and Ceto.Her sisters Sthenno and Euryale were immortal but Medusa was mortal. All three were so hideous that the mere shock of seeing them would turn anyone to stone. She is also the βMistress of the West Gate of Deathβ because her home lay at the entrance to the Underworld on the side of the western Ocean.

A very refreshing take on Medusa, instead of having usual human head and upper torso its good to see her in a much more monstrous way.

Glad to know that someone else knows their mythology! Was the red/yellow pattern intentional? Because the red next to yellow pattern means that this snake is poisonous. I love that you paid close detail to the pattern as far as coloring goes. Awesome!

i love the claws and the waist. perhaps the tail should be grayed out a bit for perspective reasons? is the pattern on the chest of a definite object? it would be cool if it was.
