Description
So I decided to upload a non-teaser.
This is my first piece done in Painter X outside of work. OMG, I'm in love! Photoshop can go jog on. Haha. Nah, but seriously, it's such a great program despite its faults.
This jaguar was painted using mostly acrylics and airbrushes. I'm not entirely happy with the crown, but I'm leaving as is. Possible cover for my upcoming art book!

The Impact and emotions the piece evokes Really stands out, and the colours really make those gorgeous eyes POP. the detail and textures are amazing as well and pull the piece together so fluidly that make this piece such a easy feel on the eyes. personally i would have made the individual hairs on the nose much evident being so close to the POV, but nonetheless it doesnt distract in any way, All in all it is such a wonderfull piece and would not be surprised at all if I were one day browsing DA and found this on the bottom of the page with the other Daily Deviations!

I am just getting used to Painter, but most of those techniques I am familiar with in Photoshop. I think I may go back and work on it some more if I do intend to make it the cover.

That is Amazing, those eyes are phenomenal, just a quick question, did you get inspiration from Magic TG? As Mirri in that is supposed to have different coloured eyes like that, that's not meant offensively btw so please don't take it the wrong way, just a question. Absolutely amazing piece though.

Aye, it is, and there was a character from one of the backstories called Mirri, she had different colour eyes, and on the cover of one of the magazines way back when somebody had drawn her as sort of a leopard/Jaguar, which was why I asked. Looks cool anyhow. Thanks for not taking offense, it was just such a huge coincidence I had to ask.
