Description Okay, new challenge! I'm going to do a 2hr (or less) drawing for each day this week, all based on a displayed Bird specimens from the Museum of Natural History in Ann Arbor!

(If anyone likes these, I may move onto other departments i.e. mammals, fish, etc. for the following weeks of this month).

This guy is my favorite of the Michigan Birds of Prey display! The Barn Owl (Tyto alba), this specimens' pose is so dynamic, I can't help but enjoy this guy.

Anybody, have any ideas?

This is a really cool style! It reminds me of cut-paper (like Eric Carle) mixed with realism. Lovely~

Very nice.

Bird ideas?  Robin, blue jay, hummingbird, hawk, eagle, falcon?  Though I suppose half of those aren't birds of prey. XD

Nah, I'm doing all types of birds, not just birds of prey!  So thank you, these are great suggestions! I actually just finished a Blue Jay <ashesb.deviantart.com/art/Blue… , and am now I'm currently working on a Cooper's Hawk!

I love the eagle and hummingbird ideas too!  I'll try to tackle those next.  I'm also planning on a passenger pigeon, as its the 100 yr anniversary of their extinction.
