I like that you chose B/W for this. I think maybe a follow up "appearing now" in color might be in order.
Anywho, for critique (I'm in the CR chatroom now lol) I'd recommend a bit better framing. Her hand being cut off makes the picture look a little awkward. The head is alright, though I might recommend including her smile in the frame, just cuz almost-mom smiles are always the best ones.
Good concept and nice execution otherwise!
