Kowtow is the Chinese word for making an act of obeisance to a superior person. Traditionally, kowtowing to the emperor involved lying flat on the floor and not looking up at all. A more relaxed form is as shown here (but from the back, obviously) where the person kowtowing kneels and bows until the forehead touches the floor.

We need more art like this....to celebrate the human body rather than to be afraid or disgusted by it, as that's what the prudes feel...one should feel sorry for them really....the general perception of the human body needs to be rebalanced as right now, it's utterly sexualised rather than being a normal and, when photographed like this, beautiful thing.
