Well, it's not exactly your fault. You're more of a lover than a fighter. Your father just didn't seem to get that and thusly didn't respect you for who you are. If he would have understood and respected your feelings and beliefs instead of trying to force you to change and become something you arn't, maybe things would have worked out differently.
