Yao's ears flattened and he quickly ran up to the distressed queen, licking at her face. "Anya, wait. Its my fault aru. I shouldn't have provoked this other cat so much. I swear I'll come back aru!" He mewed constantly, the Asian feline nuzzled at her. He tried anything to comfort his mate and keep her from leaving him. He didn't want to be left alone gain in this wreched otherworldly body

Anya shivers slightly at his licks and nuzzles, he was cold to the touch and she hated cold things. She looks at him with teary violet eyes and her ears draw back. She whimpers. "H-How can you come back?! Y-You're dead! A ghost! How could you leave me!?!" She cries, that was Anya's greatest fear and worst enemy. Abandonment. She had been constantly abandoned by others. Who would ever want to stay in her country with her? All of the Soviet States left her too.

Yao's eyes widened and he plodded over to Anya with his tail low. "I-I-I'll think of something aru, maybe Romania could bring me back!" He said trying to reassure his mate. "I didn't leave you aru! I could never leave you! I just made a stupid mistake aru. I didn't know England would kill me aru!" He mewed profusely, praying to god she wouldn't leave him. "I-I...I'm so sorry aru...I'll try to come back, besides I'm a country, I can come back some how right aru? Just please aru. Anya, please don't leave me here alone aru." He said looking down, trying to keep his tears back.

Anya whimpers some more and her tears continued. "B-But as a country... When you die, you are reborn... But it means you would be reborn as a kitten and may not be the same Jao-Jao from how you were when you were alive... You could be reborn female... Or..." She sobs not liking this situation. "You could be reborn and... not love me..." She chokes out

Yao immediately started breaking down. "No! No! Don't think that aru! I'll come back as the same Yao! Honest I will aru!" He sobbed covering his face. "The fact is...I just...I'm worried about you leaving me aru..." He hiccuped through his tears.

"B-But... Wait what?" She mews now bewildered "You think I might leave you?" She mews in confusion, even though cats never had one true lifemate. They weren't like wolves and mated for life. But Anya loved Yao. So why did he think she would leave him.

Yao nodded, he felt ashamed of even doubting his mate but he just couldn't help it. "Y-You've been hanging around Belarus more often than me aru...I'm sorry if you hate me for thinking such things aru..."

Please forgive me for thinking such awful things aru." He laid down and covered his head with his paws. "I just don't ever want to lose you so I got worried when you were with him. I'm so sorry that I even doubted you aru." He whimpered, "I just love you too much aru..."

Anya looks to her ghostly mate with violet teared filled eyes, her ears drew back and hugged her head. "Jao... I love you... I won't leave you, I promise you this." She mews to him, and licks his cheek despite him being cold.

He looked up at her with watery ruby eyes, cheeks stained with tears. "You promise aru?" He mewed softly, purring lowly at the lick, it felt very warm against his cold fur.
