A few years ago, I would have said the same thing. I didn't have a single idea a country called "Prussia" even existed because no teacher I ever had mentioned it. I heard one of my youtube friends mention it in a video so I googled it. This was back in 6th or 7th grade.
Even now, in the five or so years since I read about Prussia myself, I can't really think of any specific time a teacher has talked extensively about any part of Germany ever being called Prussia. Honestly, I'm not sure I remember being taught much about HRE either.
Also, I laughed so hard at "revelotion".

In World Civ so far, Prussia is barely mentioned.
And the Holy Roman Empire?

Meanwhile, no one in the room, including me, know anything about HRE.
All we know is that it existed one day, and then it didn't the next.
Now back to what I was saying...
We were told to write down a topic we wanted to learn about this year in World Civ.
I wrote Prussia, so I'm really hoping that my teacher will actually consider it.
Pfffft. Gotta love it when someone misreads things.
In fact, I was Biology today and I misread "valence electrons" as "valiant erections."
I got incredibly confused after that. Btw, "revelotion" sounds like "ready lotion" when said out loud. /brick'd

I feel like we're trying to write Prussia out entirely. You know why Prussia was dissolved? Because it was too powerful and people were afraid. Look, without Prussia's generals, the Americans never could have won the revolution. We actually had a few generals from over there, I believe.

I seriously think someone should make a petition to bring Prussia back into our educational systems.
This is an entire country we're talking about, an extremely powerful at that, being completely omitted from history.
There's something absolutely wrong about that. I mean, what if it was France?
We're not allowed to study the French because of the Napoleonic Wars?

in my AP world review book there is one little paragraph about Prussia...and they only mention him because of Fredrick the Great... >:I i was P-I-S-S-E-D....(still am)
