Ok so context for this.So I work as a housekeeper!
(As of posting this at least)
And I don't have a car,
so
I bike a mile to work
and
a mile to get back home
when the weather isn't totally terrible.
Well today it was like
-17 degrees Fahrenheit!
I wasn't biking today and no one could drive me to work at the time.
I decide to call up Bus service where you can call and a bus will pick you up and take you wherever the heck you wanna go.
My step dad gave me 4 dollars so that I could get on the bus with no problems.
The bus comes and I put the cash in the drop box
.....
But when I was about to sit down the bus driver told me that I was 50 cents short.
I was so flustered that I didn't have the 50 cents that I left the bus without ever thinking to ask for my step dad's cash back.

This is just to express how I was feeling at the time.
(Don't worry though, while I was a little late to work and was a sobbing mess, my mom picked me up and dropped me off at work.)
