The sadness in her eyes can be beaten by pure shock only. It is clear she didn't see it coming and that is where Starlight's perfection shines way more than Twi's. Succumb, ally, reform, take over. Long term planning in the light of failure has brought her to this point, only underlining she is much more capable than her so-called mentor. Road to power isn't always a straight line.
