• After Bertholdt's death at the hands of Armin (in his mindless Titan form), Aisling can't take the grief anymore and jumps from the top of Wall Rose. Her body is discovered shortly after, mangled and bloody.

• She tries in her life to be brave and strong, but she often finds herself grieving over the deaths of her comrades. When Bertholdt betrays humanity, she nearly loses her sanity and her will to live. She decides to quit the military and goes back Trost to live like a civilian

• When the Scouts return from the Battle of Shiganshina, she asks everyone what happened. When she finally hears of Bertholdt's fate, she shuts down again.

STORY

Aisling grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of a small town just inside Wall Maria. She and her parents all lived happily until the day the Colossal and Armoured Titans broke through Wall Maria. The town was evacuated, but Aisling lost her parents in the chaos. She made it to the boat safely, but her parents weren't so fortunate. In Trost, she works in the fields, but lives in an alleyway, becoming a beggar girl, roaming the streets in search of food and money.

Two years after the attack, she sees a sign for the Cadet Corps. She realizes this is her ticket to a better life and decides to sign up.

Orientation goes well. She meets a few people right off the bat, including Pat Kucken ( mokiean 's OC), Eren Jaeger, Armin Arlert, and Bertholdt Hoover. As time goes on, Ash and Pat become best friends and a love blossoms between Ash and Bertholdt. She begins to grow more confident in her abilities.

In the year 850, the Colossal Titan makes his return, kicking a massive hole into the gate of Trost, giving the Titans a chance to invade. It's not long before the Cadets and the Garrison are sent out together in an effort to keep the citizens safe and stop the invasion to the best of their abilities. During the mission, it is discovered that Eren Jaeger possesses the ability to transform into a Titan. Armin Arlert convinces Commander Dot Pyxis of the Garrison Regiment to use Eren to seal up the hole in the gate. The mission is successful, but a trial is held to decide which regiment will gain custody of Eren.

Aisling and Pat are separated by the events that occurred in Trost. Pat feels, after seeing Titans up close, unconfident in her own abilities. Ash tries to convince her to stay with her, but Pat ultimately leaves for the Garrison Regiment. Aisling wants to join the Scouts, having felt useful after so long and having felt a rush that she thought couldn't be replicated in another regiment. Ash and Pat, separating seemingly forever, agree to keep in touch through letters. In a surprising turn, Bertholdt, who was originally going to join the Military Police, joins his lover in the Scout Regiment.

During the 57th Expedition outside the walls, the Female Titan attacks and wipes out almost the entire Levi Squad. During the mission, Aisling is grabbed by the hair by a smaller Titan. To escape, she cuts off her long, red hair. Bertholdt, of course, doesn't mind, stating that he "thinks it's cute".
