Description Horse: Premier Event ECS
Rider: Romana Vargas
Show: SVI Schooling Show
Class: Show Hunter/Jumper

Story:
Once Chase was off in the arena, Romana hurried to get her own mount. Patient Premier had been previously warmed up and only needed a bit of a jog about to ensure he was loose before she had to enter the arena. The stallion snorted and wuffled at the young woman as she snagged his halter, switching it back out for his bridle.

"I know, I know." Romana smiled, stroking his pink muzzle as she led him out of the stall and out into the throngs of horses and riders. "Can't make up my mind, can I?" She swung easily into the saddle and clucked at him, urging him to go forward to a less busy area. "Don't you worry old man. You'll be seeing the action soon enough." The young woman quickly ran him through some warmup exercises before their own number was called, passing Chase leading Abby with his guide dog Shiloh tight by his side.

"Good luck Romana!" He called after her, knowing she was somewhere close by.

"Thanks Chase. I'm going to need it~"

"Not with that horse you're not." He snorted. It was true. Premier was bred to jump and he loved to do so. Nothing phased him in the jumping arena and flowers? pft. He probably ate some for breakfast that morning. Literally. Little punk was always letting himself out and into the flower gardens at home. Shrubs were interesting too, but not to eat.

Ears perked, he trotted into the arena, snorting and looking around before giving a stallion scream and spinning.

"Knock it off you dolt." Romana scolded, smacking his shoulder and urging him forward. "You can brag later. You have to actually clear the round first." With a hop and a squeal, Premier went forward, settling out into a round canter as they headed to the start. Romana had to smile as they leapt the first obstacle and she felt the stallion settle out beneath her.

"Show off." She muttered, hearing him snort in agreement as they approached the second jump. Well, as long as he showed off in the ring by clearing, they were golden.

This is so beautiful I like looking at your traditional drawings. Idk why I think it's the way the are colored and that crisp outline is so satisfying to look at XD
Btw what colours and paper do you use?
*whispers*
I want to know your drawing secrets c:

Thank you~

Haha I think you might be right. When I get it 'right' it looks so good. When I don't... eh. It goes in a box. Lol

pft. No secrets here. I use Derwent Coloursoft colour pencils and usually use cardstock paper, but the last two I've done in a sketchbook with a fine texture. I like heavier weighted paper (70 lbs +) because it stands up better for layering I think. I like smooth paper because I want to minimize the texture you get with colour pencils, but sometimes texture can give it a nice look too. I'm just particular, haha.

You are welcome Okay I just looked and I actually have 85 lbs papir. Or though it's a A5 papir block. Good to know.
I usually buy my drawing tools in a shop called Arnold busck. I use mostly the brand Faber-Castell. Idk if you have heard of that.

Oh really? I can never find anything over 70 lb at home. Is there an Arnold Busck in Copenhagen? I've been searching around for an art store (although it's probably better on my budget if I don't) to stock up. I have, I like their pens a lot. It's a great brand, but outside of graphite pencils and pens I haven't used them.

Yeah it's the brand Canson. I can't remember where I got it. Idk I just looked it up and there's one on Købmagergade. (Btw don't get confused with this letter: Ø lol just ignore it and think about it like it's this: Ö)
Idk I don't live in Copenhagen and I have only been there like once so I don't really know it quite well. You can always ask around and hear if anyone know it. We Danes are usely quite friendly when it comes to asking us the way to something.
Yeah I like them too. But there aren't that many different shades of colours in the colour pencil pack I got.

Oh gosh. I just looked it up on google maps and I've walked by it at least twice since I've arrived. It's right next to the student pub/coffee house by the main campus buildings, lol. I'll make the journey down there this weekend and take a peek.

(Haha thank you.. I'm still getting used to pronounciations. I'm terrible and Danish is hard to learn to speak properly...)

Yes, I get lost quite frequently and everyone is very kind about putting me back on track. Or how to use the metro. Or the bus. Or the laundry machines... It's been an interesting 3 weeks.

:/ colour packs tend to do that I find. They either throw a whole bunch of similar colours together, or really dissimilar colours and expect you to deal with that. I always find greens are the worst for not having enough shades.

I'm glad that you are near one. You can get alot of things in there. It's like a type of arts and crafts store with books  and different kinds of colouring books, paper blocks etc.
Yeah it's a really hard language to learn.
Hehe yeah we do things a little different from other countries but i'm glad someone can help you
Idk it's just really annoying. There's just always an important colour missing.

I popped in and took a look. xD It was all very tempting. Knowing where to get good pencils and paper is a definite plus, when I need to stock up. I discovered a Panduro Lobby as well that was a bit closer and a bit cheaper for some items, so I think I'll watch both stores and see what I can splurge on later on.
