My take on Rushia from my original story... Not that good enough since the sketch took me only a few minutes, the longest part was the inking.So ehh.. I'll try to draw her better the next time.
And OMG that pose was somewhat hard to draw even with reference!

I think the reference definitely paid off (it usually does 
The overall design is quite action-girl-like, probably in line with your story

It was pretty hard with using a reference anyway, since the actual reference was drawn as well and it was sort of hard to place things right and make it look pretty too. Also, originally the face looked straight and up, instead of the head looking at the side and that made a lot of difficulties too.
Yes, when it comes to Rushia, she'll be all over the place being the awesome action-girl she is.
I know, the hands are always a killer for me.
