Description
Centre of Street Art Istanbul: A place for creativity, community and production. In the CSAist there will be workshops, shows and events, exhibitions and graffiti etc. classes. The project site is in Balat -now is a slum by the Golden Horn but once where greek and jewish minorities used to live. Being a ghetto-like, isolated neighborhood but having a huge historical background describes the character of the area. A street art centre is proposed here for not only to help the young habitants of the area to express themselves but also making the area an attraction for the whole city.
