well i started painting a sky in photoshop just to see if i could do it and i did and i was happy with it and i didnt know what to do with it so it sat on my hd for months...i opened it every once in awhile and messed with it adding just a little bit here and there. still sat on my hd, then one day i opened ol smax and messed around alot with my sky image in mind and came up with somethin i finally liked after all the other times i had smax open. then messed around with the render and sky background in photoshop for a couple days and was finally happy with it, my sky image was finally done..but whats this...i dont have a name for it...i thought, oh well ill go look around and think one up... spent 3 days on a name...ive never done that before and finally, the name that kept starin me in the face all 3 days...aedes
this piece took along time or more like over a span of time, my girlfriend april [link] watched it progress and helped me with the name alot, i always come to her for help
i love her.

Love the color scheme, Great shades of purple and pink blended together with such finesse. The render it''s self is pretty good but the most visibly enjoyable aspect of this image has to be the concept. The image is perfect. Have a favourite.

Gawsh!! Amazing, that has a real mythical monster quality.. Like the personification of evil, or some accidental pseudo-organic being.. Man I should write a short story about this, or just a long description..

I sense that you have a strong strain of perfectionist running in you. . . . I totally respect that.
So refreshing to see some of your newer pieces, this one is just celestial and filled with beauty. The colors were used with sweet variations. The renders are as incredible as ever and your natural touch with adding the birds that almost appear like fragmented abstracts flying out into the atmosphere is perfect. Great art br0!

OMG that's awesome. I'm aure all the good things about this have been said already so I won't waste your time. I would however, like to see a few more structures of in the distance or covered by haze. Just little details that would have a made the over all version nicer. Credit though, this just kicked me in the face.

really well done cugar... im always glad that you dont try to fit text into ur images... it really moves them over into the fine-arts category instead of them lingering in commercial design stuff. the birds are what do it for me in this piece... the manually done sky is really top-notch work... if you hadnt said anything i would've just assumed that it was a photo-manip... but the birds flyins trhough bring a sense of life and reality to this piece that wouldnt otherwise be there right off the bat. great work.

Great job man the brushwork and real good colour choice, but my favourite thing about this is thats there is a subtlety about it and the birds really do finish it off, a great touch.
Also its look great without a mass of 2d about the place
